Welcome to Kinda Chill Vegan!
If you are here then you are probably interested in either going vegan, are already vegan, or simply want to try out some delicious and creative recipes that just happen to be plant based! You’re in luck, on this blog I have included all my favorite plant based and vegan food dishes. Every recipe is vegan and includes list of all vegan ingredients and how to prepare. Aside from recipes, I also want to share my vegan journey as I continue in my quest for health education. To that end, I would like to briefly share why I went vegan. There are a multitude of different reasons to go vegan. Let me first address the vegan elephant in the room- all reasons for going vegan are valid! My reason is important to me, her reason is important to her, his reason is important to him..and so on. I personally decided to go vegan for my health. While I do not currently have any outstanding diseases (thank you Lord!), I have seen many friends and family suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart issues and cancer. I am not a doctor. I am not saying that that veganism is the one and only cure for these diseases, or that this life style is the only way to prevent these diseases from happening. What I am saying, is that there is a lot of evidence that points in that direction. I want to live a long and healthy life and for me, one great way to increase the chance of that happening – is through going vegan! That all being said, you will never catch me condemning anyone who is not vegan. My goal on this blog is to help provide some fun and tasty meal ideas, some tips on vegan living and some health information to share with anyone who is curious!
One last note to add, I am a brand new vegan and I have no formal cooking training – but that is the fun part about all this! If I can make these dishes, literally anyone! Being a new vegan is the primary reason why this blog exists. while it is a tool to share recipes and vegan-related information, it is so much more to me. This website is a motivator for me to stay on track with my goals and stick with this lifestyle change and encourages me to keep trying new and creative ways to make vegan food…awesome.
